Salvia sclarea L
Method of extraction:
Sage oil is steam-distilled from the wild herb.
Properties:
effects hormonal-genital system, promotes menstruation, aphrodisiac; stimulates circulation, strengthens veins; anti-spasmodic, sedative, against epilepsy; stimulates medulla oblongata and cerebellum; fights deterioration of cells; lowers cholesterol; antifungal; reduces sweat production; stimulates hair growth.
Indications:
amenorrhea, pre-menopause, genital complaints associated with hormonal weakness; circulatory disturbances; varicose veins, hemorrhoids, vein expansion; agitated and nervous exhaustion; high cholesterol level; mycosis; hair loss.
Main components:
linayl acetate, linalool, furfurol, sclareol, beta-caryophyllene, germacrene.
Contraindications, side effects: mastitis, carcinous. Do not take together with medications containing iron.
Usage and doses:
For Baths: 3-4 drops add to glass of yogurt or milk and pour in to bath.
Massage: add 2-3 drops of essential oil to 20g ml of basic oil.
Inhalations: 1-2 drops to 1l of hot water.
Vaporizers: 1-2 drops for 5 m2 of room.
Cosmetic: 2-3 drops to 20g of basic cream.
