The private enterprise TUB "Meta" was established in 1989 by Mindaugas Vyskupaitis. IFOAM has awarded the private enterprise TUB "Meta" certificates to produce essential oils, extracts, herb teas, mixtures of honey for massage from natural and ecological clean Lithuanian raw materials.

We are an exclusive company offering these services in the Baltic States. Also the private enterprise TUB "Meta" is a active member of the EU scientific projects Copernicus and Eureka supplying essential oils and extracts for scientific research. The purpose is to study chemical composition, antimicrobial, anti-oxidation properties and to use natural and organic food preserves from vegetative raw materials.

Our market is not only in Lithuania but extends throughout the EU. We are also expanding our assortment of products using up to 47 various names. The production of the private enterprise TUB "Meta" is designed for a natural, healthy lifestyle.

The following technological lines are at work:

• Line for production of alcoholic and fatty extracts.
• Drying room for herbs and spices.
• Line for the production of Lithuanian spices.

The private enterprise TUB "Meta" can offer 17 products of essential oils for bath, massage, inhalation, applications, aromatherapy, saunas. The production power of the enterprise allows us to supply 12 tones of essential oils annually.

The enterprise produces 13 ecological clean water extracts for relaxation, inhalation and remedial baths as well as applications for hair strengthening, for scalp, skin, foot care and for steam bathrooms.

The extracts are produced using ecological clean raw materials. We use water steam distillation methods followed by a concentrating vacuum. The producing power of the enterprise allows us to supply our customers with 200 tones of vegetative extracts annually.

The water extracts do not contain any chemical preserves. The extracts remain stable for 2 years due to natural active substances, which present themselves with a composition of a unique mode of processing.

It is common practice in Lithuania to use water extracts for body care as in ancient times. The producing of water extracts is a perfect integration of folk medicine and modern technology.

Having implemented new technologies of plant growing and processing, we are producing water extracts of pine needles, birch leaves and buds, nettle and juniper.

For preparation herbal teas are used raw coming from wild spread and grown on ecological clean Lithuanian farms. All herbal teas and mixtures of herbs are prepared according ISO standards.. Herbs teas are tasty, flavorful and have healing properties.

Many of the herbal teas are part of a national dishes heritage but new mixtures are being invented using folk medicine knowledge. Many micro-elements and active substances are in the composition of herbs and herb mixtures also used in folk medicine. Many of the herbs are used as food additives. Currently, our enterprise is producing 10 herb or herb‘s mixture teas from thyme, nettle, St. Jone‘s wort, caraway seeds, marigold flowers, peppermint, chamomile, melissa, and oregano. The enterprise also has a drying room which allows us to supply 30 tones of dry herbal and raw spice products.
